Focus Downloads

The following full-featured demonstration systems are available for FOCUS. Please note that the demos are different for each accounting platform. Make sure that you load the proper demo system into the correct environment. Installation instructions are included in the Focus demo guide. There are separate demo guides for  CounterPoint, Passport’s RW32, and Great Plains.

The following service packs contain updates to FOCUS software to correct any known issues for the specified version.  After installation, the corrections will be described in a file called FxxSP.LOG (where xx is the Focus version), located in the top-level directory.  Click here to view the contents of the latest Focus service pack log file

To install a service pack for Windows: Copy the downloaded file to the top-level directory of your accounting system.  Then, install by executing the exe file from the top-level directory.

To install a service pack for UNIX/Linux: Copy the downloaded file to the top-level directory of your accounting system.  Then, install by unzipping the contents of the file while in the top-level directory. (unzip <filename>)

Focus 8.3 service packs for use with CounterPoint for Windows version 7.5.10 – 7.5.14, and UNIX/Linux 7.5.11 – 7.5.14.  In order for Focus version 8.3 to work with CounterPoint 7.5.10-14, one of the following patches must be applied.  To download the patch, click on one of the links below

• Windows 7.5.10

• Windows 7.5.11 through 14 

• UNIX/Linux 7.5.11 and 12

• UNIX/Linux 7.5.13 and 14

After downloading, unzip into the <CounterPoint>\SV subdirectory.  This should overwrite program files that already exist with the same name.  After installation, if any file error 39 messages are received on a Focus data file (filename begins with SV), the file should be exported and restored using the Focus file utilities.

The following full system software upgrades are available to registered users of Focus.
